Kim Chandler was recently invited to give a live radio interview about how easy or difficult it is to impersonate famous singers.
Prime-time BBC TV series "The One and Only", running throughout January and February 2008 in the UK, is generating interest in tribute acts and how they do what they do. The big prize for the winning solo tribute act is a 3-month contract as part of the iconic "Legends" show in Las Vegas (and one of Kim's private clients is on the show).
In this interview, Kim relates her "V.M.V" formula for tribute act success - 'boxes' that must be 'ticked' for singers to convincingly portray their idols' performance style:

- "V" for "VOCALS": must have a similar vocal range, general tone quality, similar vibrato and diction or pronunciation of lyrics etc
- "M" for "MUSICAL ATTRIBUTES": must have similar rhythmic phrasing, tuning, distinctive embellishments etc
- "V" for "VISUAL ATTRIBUTES": needs to have a similar face or at least facial expressions, hair, costuming, gestures, general body shape or at least their distinctive style of movement etc
