Ernest Whaley

Vocal Coach comments from The VoiceCouncil Team

Your passion for singing is contagious! You seemed so deeply connected to the music. Try to harness that passion to convey your message more effectively. For instance, choose some big and small moments in the song and really exaggerate them (staying true, of course, to the emotional journey of the song). Make sure you always give yourself room to grow with high notes and volume – don’t peak too soon. Experiment with how strongly or softly you attack consonants to make important words pop. Your voice is smooth and agile, and you have a great ear for melismas, so all that’s left is some song polishing.
