Your voice is in great condition and you have nice control over your registers, demonstrating some nice falsetto flips. For more impact, can you access a “chunkier chest voice” sound? Try this exercise: whilst standing do some spontaneous yells. Don’t breathe in before or do any form of mental or physical preparation, just yell short phrases like “Oh no” or “hey wait” or “yee-hah”. You want to sound loud and strong but you want it to feel easy – no throat scratching or perceived effort. This acoustic boost will give your performance the edge and will give you a dose of confidence too.
