Drew Storey – Real Love cover

Vocal Coach Comments from Mark Baxter:

Drew you’re heading in a great direction. You obviously have put more time in on guitar then singing – but that’s okay. You can learn from what you’re doing well on guitar – namely using less tension. Watch your face in this video when you sing the choruses. You facial muscles brace and tense and that absorbs a lot of sound. You’ve learned to use less tension when playing – now apply that same success to singing!

Drew’s Bio:

I’m a self-taught singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. I haven’t done any of my music on YouTube as of yet- only covers for now. (And please excuse the screw-ups in the song I chose… I was sick when I made the video).

  • I very much agree with what the Vocal Coach has said, you truly are heading in a great direction!

There is such wisdom in learning to perceive the singing voice as if it were a fretless instrument. Visualize the notes and the placement required by them before you sing them, and then strive to allow them to ring-out effortlessly.

Find the joy in your daily practice routine and you _will_ reach the level you desire!
