Mark Flatt – The Boxer cover

Vocal Coach Comments from Dane Chalfin:
Background gigs can be really tough. You are making great but subtle use of your technology from your iPad to your pedal board. Your singing is very appropriate for the atmosphere. Everything you’re doing is right for the environment. Well done.

Mark’s Bio:
Music has always been an important part of my life and I have been fortunate enough to play in different bands from a jazz ensemble to a stint in a country band to singing in acapella groups. During my time in the Air Force, I met and married the love of my life and had to press pause on performing. However, I never put my guitar away and found several opportunities to refine my performance as a solo act. In the summer of 2010, I started to move back into the world of performing.

Thanks for the comments. I kind of look at background gigs this way. The people may or may not be there to see me, but it’s my job to entertain and keep them at the bar/restaurant.

I’ve gotten that compliment before about being “appropriate”, but I feel like sometimes that can result in a lack of energy.
