Mic Scale

At a Glance: Based on an elegant classic vacuum tube design, this large diaphragm studio condenser delivers a classic sound normally associated with vintage mics like the Neumann U47 and AKG C12 yet retails at an affordable price.
High Notes: Selectable cardioid, figure-8, and omni polar patterns give the user total studio flexibility while the solid brass body with polished nickel finish means it not only looks great but it stands up to heavy use.

Off Pitch: Nothing here! Almost every review we checked raved about this product and the rare complaint was over the tiniest of niggles. If your experience is different, however, please do let us know by leaving a comment below…

A Singer Says: This sounds like a mic several times its price; kind-of similar to a Neumann U47 (but without the need for taking out a 2nd mortgage to buy one!). It’s a fantastic mic, especially for male vocals. Chris Kennedy

More: Loud volumes don’t even phase this mic. It’s a workhorse, with finesse. Detailed but forgiving, like your own ears. -Musician/Engineer/Studio Owner

It sounds even better when the tube has been warmed up for about 48 hours. When I used it for the first time I found it to be a bit harsh
