What Singing Apps Do You Use?

This week we’re exploring the weird and wonderful world of ‘apps’, and how they can be useful to singers.

You’ve heard the slogan, ‘there’s an app for that’. years on and there are applications across dozens of platforms and devices, providing services for everything from cooking to gardening and games to music discovery. This week, we’d like to hear how this new app revolution is affecting you and which apps you’re using to enhance your vocal career.

So the question is: Has anyone found any great music or vocal apps for their Smartphone or Tablet? If so, we’d like to hear about them.

Great Comments from last week:

Last week Craig asked:  When writing a new song, where do you start?

Nat Kitty Oates commented…

“For me, it usually starts with one line that pops into my head and usually flows from there. And it’s usually something that has happened/something i’ve seen that inspires me to write. And that fist lyric that pops into my head? Could end up at the beginning or in the chorus or even at the end of the song”!

Tony Carpenter wrote…

It all depends, sometimes, a riff, sometimes words… There is no formula that always works, at least not for me. I worked with a producer for a while in Australia who did songs for a publishing house. He would write on demand… By topic.

Jeremy Thomas responded…

Anywhere. Starting is easy. Finishing is the problem.

Great comments this week guys! Don’t forget to look out for next weeks question on our ‘Facebook Page’.

All the best, C x
